Veteran & law enforcement owned · Bakersfield, CA
Traditional beer, brewed right here in Bakersfield.
Six house beers on tap, a full kitchen making burgers, tacos and wings from scratch, and live music, trivia and darts most nights. Open seven days a week on District Blvd.
Welcome in
A brewery, a kitchen and a stage.
You'll find us in Suite 18 on District Blvd, in southwest Bakersfield's brewery corridor. Inside there's a bar room, a full kitchen, a stage big enough for a horn section, and a big outdoor patio that stays open late when the weather is good. No reservations needed. Walk in, grab a seat, order at the bar.
We brew traditional European ales and lagers on site and pour them fresh. You don't need to know beer to order well here. Tell a bartender what you usually drink and they'll put the right pint in front of you, or start with a flight of four beers.

The beer
Six house beers, brewed on site.
We keep the lineup short on purpose. Every beer on the board earned its spot, from the Commoner red ale to Dead Man's Tribute, a 9.1% coconut stout worth sipping slowly. There's also Warrior Monk, a nonalcoholic pale ale, plus wine, cider, seltzers and cocktails at the bar.
Commoner
5.1%American Red Ale
The one we hand to people who say they do not like craft beer. Malty, easygoing, and named for the fact that a good beer should not require a password.
Tasting notesSaracen
7.2%American IPA
Our IPA. Hoppy and unapologetic about it, but built to finish clean rather than fight you.
Tasting notesMercy
6.5%Ukrainian Golden Ale
A golden ale in a style that brewers around the world picked up in solidarity. Bright, clean, and easy to drink a second one of.
Tasting notesNoble Gentry
6.4%Olde English Ale
An old style done properly. Rich, malty, and the beer most likely to make someone ask what they are drinking.
Tasting notesDead Man's Tribute
9.1%Coconut Stout
Dark, full, and coconut all the way through. At 9.1% it is a beer to sit with, not a beer to chase.
Tasting notesWarrior Monk
0.3%Nonalcoholic Pale Ale
For the designated driver, the on-call shift, and anyone who wants the flavor without the rest of it. A real pale ale that happens to have no alcohol.
Tasting notesThe kitchen
A full kitchen, open whenever we are.

We cook everything here, not out of a truck in the lot: handmade beef patties, housemade chili beans, beer cheese made with our own beer, street tacos, wings and pretzel bites. Burgers and dogs come with fries, and the kitchen is open the whole time we are.
Kids are welcome. There's a kids menu and changing tables in the restrooms. Dogs are welcome on the patio, and there's a Puppy Patty on the menu for them.
